Next week the 8th annual Sustainable Innovation Forum (SIF17) will take place in Bonn, Germany, alongside COP23.
The forum will bring together over 600 delegates, and 75 prestigious speakers from governments, NGO’s, and corporate businesses, to discuss how to fast track the green economy.
“We need to prove that protecting the environment is profitable and in everyone’s best interests. We can do this by holding up successful examples.”
- Erik Solheim, Executive Director of UN Environment
The main topics at this years’ Sustainable Innovation Forum include renewable energy, the circular economy, sustainable land and water management, carbon markets, climate finance, and climate innovation in emerging regions. The forum will provide discussion and debate to help the countries that have ratified the Paris Agreement meet their commitments.
We’re excited to see what impacts the Sustainable Innovation Forum will have on combating climate change and pushing countries, governments, organizations, and individuals to act more responsibly.
